Palin thought the Vice President debate was a popularity contest, and at that she won big, because Biden was debating who should be the next President. Most people who disagree with her hate her less, and she has created a new image of what it means to be an American woman, a Barbie Doll with a Gun in her hand. The 60's asserted that men could be tender and cry just like a woman, and now ultraconservatives hope the 60's are finally over. Madonna a role model for young girls upset them greatly. This Barbie Doll image could spread to men as well. Such as a jeweler studded drug-dealer with two young ladies at his side and a gun in his lap. When it came to making it more likely for McCain to become President, Biden outflanked her at every turn. McCain likewise seems to know how to debate in such a way as to become more popular with each debate, despite the countries economic woos, but he likewise fails when it comes to coattales. He also makes it harder for other Republicans to win, every time he debates. So at the moment it seems that Obama, unless al Qaeda, or an al Qaeda look alike pulls an October Surprise, will be the next President, with an overwhelming Democratic Congress to back him up. But I'm not cheering, we don't need another one party government in this world, Cuba, China, and Russia is enough. And we need to somehow restore the image of the 60's that being a man has a gentle touch to it, and somehow not have a new image of an American woman being a sneaky coy and clever snake. Obama like Roosevelt thinks he can bring us all together. But somehow he will be needed to be challenged from the Left not only the Right. I feel sorry for Nancy Pelosi. After the Democratic sweep in 2006, she thought she was going to make John Murtha Majority Whip. But suddenly conservatives reminded progressives that he tended to vote against Abortion and against Gun Control, while the then honest NRA, worried that since he switched on foreign guns, he might have had a private change of heart when it came to domestic guns as well. So after the peace movement proved it was mostly bark and no bite, they kept biting her every inch of the way for not continuing on as if nothing had happened. Nevertheless, for the good of America's future, I hope Nancy becomes a sacrificial lamb and Cindy Sheehan, wins Nancy's California seat, so we won't end up with all Democrats and a scattering of only Republicans to challenge them. However, had Murtha became Majority Whip the war might be over by now and more important in the long-run little girls in America wouldn't be playing with Barbie Dolls with guns in their hands. Murtha if he had clout would have been the number one critic of Palin, and exalted his mixed credentials on abortion to prove it. It is a huge irony that a Barbie Doll with a gun in her hands somehow stands for life. Why do people who condemn
Submitted by RichardKanePA on October 8, 2008 - 2:22pm.Why do people who condemn Sarah Palin seem to be putting their foot in their mouth?
I hate sports and I hate war, and when I heard Sarah Palin’s football cheerleader comments, that seemed to me to imply that Muslim’s, Hindus, and Atheists are with Satan, I wanted to, and actually began to, relate how similar she and bin Laden see the world. Elsewhere, feminists lashed out, and vegetarian -- animal libers talked about her bloodbaths against animals. But Palin is trying to sound moderate making us the extremists.
There was one bright exception David Lindorff “Two Kids With Guns.” Please everyone Google it. Lindorff usually likes to criticize the war He doesn’t seem to be a veggie, and his blog never before cried about the poor animals. He loved to hunt as a little child after talking his father into a gun, until a wounded rabbit disturbed him. Suddenly the new Barbie Doll with a gun was a goon and an extremist, not him. But Liftoff does seem to be a meany in his other postings about her. Thus I urge feminists to lash out at hunting from airplanes while they mention having enjoyed a hamburger only recently, or better yet, how after contemplating Palin’s years of carnage, the hamburger suddenly didn’t taste right, as if it was really a piece of moose. The same with vegie activists, they could ignore the animal bloodbath while they state late abortion troubles them, then lash out about Mayor Palin having rape victims pay for rape kits so that abortion supporting doctors don’t end up with money from the city.
This reminds me of a little secret about myself, that most of my recent friends didn’t know, I used to picket Planned Parenthood at 12th and Locust in Philadelphia, and still usually in private conversations urge an anti-abortion policy similar to the anti-smoking campaign, and thus I’m now trying to start “Pro-Lifers against Sarah Palin,” or “Pro-Lifer’s Against Sarah Palin’s Extremism,” hope people google it and add it to their blogs, but weird things started happening with the Internet. PhillyIMC kept jamming up so it took almost a minute for a link to come up after it posted. It was flooded with spam, but when they made the letters difficult to click on, it slowed down anyway. And at CapitolHillBlue my best post was only seen for a few minutes since new postings quickly crowed it off of the front page. I hope people spread this around the internet.
Being antiwar or a peace-dipper baby, similar to a red diaper baby, a term referring to children of Communists, I was quietly troubled when gays and women asked to serve, believing straight men should be preventing from killing instead of others joining them. The 60's said men didn’t have to be mean and tough all the time, and it was ok for a man to cry in public. But the new Barbie Doll with a gun, that is appearing in toy stores for little girls to inspire to, seems to me to be saying babies are part of God’s war against Satan as well. If I continue my thought I would be putting my foot in my mouth, ideally someone who supports the war in Iraq, but doesn’t like a 42-year-old woman bragging about getting pregnant as part of God’s Will, will continue the thought for me.
