Political ping-pong...

Elected officials continue to battle amongst themselves, playing politics, instead of doing what is best for the American community.

Probably it won't matter much whether Obama or McCain becomes president. Most likely the fighting will continue in Iraq and here at home and in Washington, D.C.

Democrats and Republicans can't seem to put aside their differences and petty squabbling to do what is best for the American people. Instead of working together "to put things right" each party points a finger at the other, as if putting the blame on a party makes things better.

So, apparently no matter if we get Obama or McCain, the game of Politics is destined to continue and consequently, so will the perils within our own democracy as well as the pitfalls of our unstable economy.

Oh they get it just fine,

Oh they get it just fine, it's We The People that don't. The differences and petty squabbles is what distracts us from real issues while the important stuff is either spun into oblivion or not reported at all.

In the meantime, the maniacal machinery of the government continues its assault on our personal and economic liberties, masquerading as our benevolent saviors from all that afflict us.

The Shadow Government runs the show now, the elections are just to perpetuate the illusion of "democracy". The names and the faces may move around and change, but the benefactors - the investors and owners of the machinery - remain steady and true.

Most people don't seem all that alarmed by the loss of essential liberties here. One thing that everyone should bear in mind is this - It is far less costly to preserve liberty than it is to regain it.

Griff. Many here are very alarmed by the loss of liberties, essential or trivial. I wish I had the answer to fix our mess of a government. Maybe a better balance of power in the Congress and the Supreme Court? This desire for a balance is what will direct my votes in November. Two bads often cancel each other out. We have seen what a Republican dominated government has brought with it......
