As the Bush administration crawls to it's close, they seem to be trumpeting their final insults to the rule of law, and to the country. Though it seems a crawl to those of us who cannot wait for the regime to depart, there doesn't seem to be enough time to put the final touches on their agenda to destroy America and get away Scott free with their crimes and the loot. Now there seems to be a blatant announcement out there that Bush plans a "blanket" pardon, for anyone involved with his torture program, illegal spying, politicizing the Justice Department, creating an unaccountable army, lying to the Congress to go to war, and god knows what else we don't even know about (lots of convenient "suicides" occurred).

The press brings up "the Bradley Effect" diligently, as programmed. Say it a zillion times a day. The Bradley Effect, about as real as Creationism. But it does plant an idea in the electorate's minds, a reason why McCain wins on Tuesday: Oh, it was the Bradley Effect, the blatherers will pummel it home.

UPDATE:The wild eyed outraged entry below was based on what I described I was doing in the first sentence: "Flipping around the channels..." I had several friends let me know that I hadn't seen enough before I made my opinion and blurted it out on this page. So this evening I watched the entire segment with Brocaw and McCain, and realized I'm wrong in my assessment of what was going on.

The lies are enraging; the surrogates abominable; the crowds at the McCain rallies, earn John's integral disdain for the People. I weep with frustration at the injustice, the loss, the incredible loss of this fine idea called America. John McCain's quest for the presidency has truly become a surreal and hideously destructive yearning akin to Gollum's evil obsession. I can't even look at him any longer, let alone listen. How bizarre he appears flanked by the tremulously obedient Cindy and illiterate sassy Sarah.

First of all, it's impossible to believe that this is a genuine crises and not an October Surprise Heist created by the Crooks and Liars that have been running our country into the ground for the last eight years. It amazes me that an entire Congress full of blowhards and lawyers, can't find a way to articulate what the hell is going on to the American People. Even Barack, so deft with language, cannot convey what Pelosi, Paulson, Boehner, Reed, Dubyah (well, forget him, I might as well add Palin if I include him),have failed to. Reason?

Turns out the McCain Palin ticket IS a Bridge to Nowhere. The weak minded are starting to cross. Whaddya gonna do except keep your eye on the voter registration, the Bush approval rating, state polls..which are all clearer indications of what's going on.I really don't think MOST people are that stupid, and quite a few have been down it before..TWICE.Mostly,I think people are furious.

The fall-in-line-if-you-want-to-keep-your-job media is again, driving this political train, and our scant defenders who still have jobs, (Remember Peter Arnet? Who dared to question what the hell was going on during Shock & Awe? Gone! Works for Al Jazeera last I heard; or Christianne Amanpour?

After viewing Palin's strange discombobulated blathering on the podium of her Church in Wasilla I think not only is her own sanity in question, but I feel the founder of it, a guy named Ed Kalnins, should be scrutinized as intensely as Reverend Wright was. Wright, was merely ranting about injustice~and it wasn't Obama taking up the rant.
