November 18, 2008 - 6:00pm.

It is 4:29 am and the fuzz is coming off along with the sleep-shut eyes.

Often, early in the morning, before my brain is cluttered with the necessities of life, I think of things that were out there lurking in the shadows, hoping to be discovered.

Today's brilliance is: "Maybe Pelozi took Impeachment off the table because she knew that Bush would pardon Cheney and/or Cheney would pardon Bush.

Oh, fantasies of the early morn...a Post-Term trial for murder and treason being ON THE TABLE!!!!

Can dreams come true???

I never understood why people hated me just because I was a Jew, and I don't understand someone hating President Elect Obama just because he is half-negro and half-caucasian.

Hatred is insidious, and it can spread to our children who may overhear an out-of-context, or sadly, an in-context remark expressing hatred for a black or a Jew, or yeah, a moslem. I made a blanket disparaging remark about moslems to my 39 year old son and he jumped all over me about it. He pointed out that his best friend in high school was the son of a man from Syria, a man who really did not like Jews and was pretty unhappy with the fact that his son was palling around with one. I, on the other hand, liked Omar, and we had some pretty good discussions about the situation in the Middle East.

To all of us conspiracy advocates who believe that "Loose Change" was a documentary and not a work of supposition, I offer the following:

This emergency economic aid package is merely a smoke screen to accomplish another Bush objective.

As the fake war in Iraq was a method for Bush and Cheney to steal Billions and Billions of Dollars, so this new scheme involves nationalization of our banks, and some vague government oversight that is yet to be defined and explained.

To All My Employees in Congress, the Judiciary, and the Executive Branch of My Government

Dear Employees;

When over 94.5% of your constituents spend their time to write to you in opposition of a bill, it seems both arrogant and uncaring if you do not follow our wishes.

I just got a letter from my Senator. In this letter she explained why she voted FOR the economic rescue package. Allow me to share some of her remarks:

"It has been said that Senators have six-year terms for a reason. And that reason is to be able to take tough votes because it's right for the nation, and take tough votes when at times they may be adverse to the beliefs of your constituency." She went on to say that she had received over 91,000 responses from constituents, and that 86,000 of those were OPPOSED to the bill.

Dear Congressman Waxman;

I disagree that failing to bail out these idiots who over-extended themselves will result in financial disaster for the entire country. Our nation is more than AXN, or WAMU, or Lehman or Bear Stearns.

When the newspapers reported that Pakistan was going to allow Ossama and gang to set up shop in their country, I wondered why the Bush Administration was not screaming its empty head off.

Webster defines "hero" as 1. A mythological or legendary figure of great strength or ability; 2. A man admired for his achievements and qualities; 3.The chief male character in a literary or dramatic work. We honor Heros in wars because they have done extra ordinary feats to save the lives of others, whether directly or indirectly.

Nick Kristoff, in a recent NY Times posting, comments that there are ways other than military action to conduct Diplomacy. It seems to me that the only 'diplomacy' our Secretary of State has managed to practice is buying shoes in every country of the world she has visited. Well, perhaps that falls under the purview of repairing the imbalance of trade rather than diplomacy.

As I gaze to the left side of this page and see the list of "Latest Stories", the lead article seems to best describe my feelings--"...where are the issues?"

Patton Said It, but Bush is the epitome of audacity.

Bush actually had the temerity to criticize China about freedoms and political prisoners. I find that almost beyond belief were it not for the fact that Bush seems to either be drunk, on drugs, or living in some make-believe world of his "decider" imagination.

The bulk of the monies did not go to either the contractors or down the proverbial drain. It went to the deep pockets of Cheney & Bush, who are now the two richest men in the world.

I happen to agree that Afghanistan should be the focus of our military action, and that we should withdraw completely from Iraq in 4 months, not 18. I don't think Afghanistan can be compared to Vietnam because I think we can, if we kill the leaderS of the Taliban, specifically Osama bin Laden and the next 5 men under him, end the Taliban's activity for all intents and purposes.

I just read an article in last Saturday's NY Times that began: "Shoddy electrical work by private contractors on United States military bases in Iraq is widespread and dangerous, causing more deaths and injuries from fires and shocks than the Pentagon has acknowledged, according to internal Army documents...During just one six-month period — August 2006 through January 2007 — at least 283 elec

To call Bush an a egotistical, self-absorbed, not very bright, spoiled, rapidly aging brat" is the equivalent of calling Atilla the Hun a benign, benevolent, beatific ruler.
