Is Bush flipping out?

March 25, 2006 08:06 AM / Bush Leagues .
We hear more and more White House chatter about increasing Presidential temper tantrums – reports of an out-of-control President George W. Bush losing it with close aides and even during incidental contacts with lower-level West Wing staff.

This is unconfirmed. Our usual sources aren’t talking and those who contact us are ones whose information has not always checked out in the past but if the Department of Homeland Security can raise terror alert levels on unconfirmed chatter, we can sound the alarm bell on reports that the Prez may be losing it

We first reported on Bush’s erratic behavior and temper tantrums on June 4, 2004. As usual the mainstreamer ignored it until Newsweek reported the same thing in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Other reports said Bush, angry over war protests, went into a mad tirade against “traitors and Commies.”

Now others are chronicling the President’s history of temper tantrums. But new reports say the outbursts occur more frequently and Bush then retreats into a deep depression. In 2004, we reported Bush was taking anti-depressants.  He may need to go back on them.

All of this suggests disturbing behavior in the man who can order a nuclear strike on another nation. It also explains how the man can authorize illegal spying on Americans by the National Security Agency and then brag about it to the public.

Bush aint "flipping out", he has "flipped out".

"Any comprehensive psychological or psychoanalytical study of President Bush would have to explore how much the brain and its functions are changed by more than twenty years of heavy drinking.-------Former heavy drinkers often have trouble distinguishing between relevant and inconsequentail information. They also may lose some of their ability to maintain concentrations."(Bush on The Couch" by Justin A. Frank, M.D.)

Unless Repubs too see the light we are stuck with this nut.

Hey, what's the big deal about pathological lying and hysterical raging lunacy? He's all SO NICE about it!

Posted by Dave Ellis at March 25, 2006 12:53 PM

Manic-depressive disorder explains it all. This group is the most likely to self medicate (booze/pills)He cannot function without it. Even if he sought help, it would be to normalize the highs and lows to an acceptable level. The patients go off their medication because they enjoy their highs. They feel they can do anything while in their high.
When it flips to depression he has to get regulated again. A good 2 weeks at the ranch would be enough time to acheive this. After the return to medication, he just seems to be a sleepwalker, that trots out and reads a speech and very little more. Well, except for having his finger gently on the button. Lord help us all.

Posted by gardenwho at March 25, 2006 01:05 PM

He is unable to realy concentrate, which is demonstrated by his high number of "vacations". He then goes on manic campeigns across the country for some "cause" of his taking it to people when he should be working with congressmen. But, because he can not do that, and is unable to compromise, instead he launches into this feel good talk to the people stuff. Just judging from his most recent behavior, I would predict he will soon transition from Manic to Depressed. I am sure there will be many books about Bush after he is gone. Nero,,, move over.

Interesting that your "usual sources aren't talking". I wonder what has silenced them... if you could find out I'm guessing it might be a bit more news-y than GWB is a a little touched in the head. Are your sources under surveillance? Are all WH employees now required to wear a wire?

I repeat: Somebody please bring bipolar George a big-ass bag of really bitchin' "pretzels"--quick, before he gets a hankerin' to press the doomsday button.

Posted by LisaP at March 25, 2006 10:01 PM

I was married for 16 years to a bipolar man,(and have young adult kids who inherited it) and I agree with these above comments. It really does sound like manic-depression is part of Bush's problems. And I do think he is drinking again. The article about how he can't stop lying on this site brings in some good points, too. Quite a mix in a ego-maniac with a 'nukular' button under his finger, and Cheney as his handler. God help us all.

the man has always been a raging spoiled privleged imbasill, i think the word the real man incharge uses when george is'nt around is patsy!!!!!!!!!!!! we all better hope that corp. congress has enough back bone to impeach this idiot before 2008. because the neo-nazis will perpatrate another fake terrorist attack, and invoke marshall law to prevent a change in power.

Bush has always been odd. The public has always been accomodating with regard to his odd behavior. I recall my first site of him was when he announced his candidacy for President and revealed the unbelievable pile of money that had been contributed to his campaign--even before it was begun. He didn't answer any questions, mentioned that he was 'humbled' by the amount of contributions he had and then walked quietly away from the mic. It was a strange moment.

Posted by ebbtide at March 26, 2006 07:08 AM

This may seem like an unatainable goal, keeping in mind that our Reps in Congress act like spoiled self-centered children who squabble over just about every issue, accept when it comes time to give themselves' a pay increase. Perhaps, and I believe it's long overdue, we should insist that our elected officals in Congress pass a law making it mandatory 'that all' including current officals and those who have aspirations to enter public service submit to a independent psychological evaluation. Yes, I know it's sounds off the wall, but it would weed out the mentally deranged. The sad part is, if an evaluation were to be conducted today on high ranking government officals, 80% would probably qualify for admission to the funny farm. Wouldn't it be amusing to watch the clowns insanely debate this on the floor. I know I'd be laughing uncontrollably.

Let's see, the DMV revoked his driver license after his DUI conviction. The Texas ANG revoked his pilot license after he refused a direct order to take a drug test, after his conviction for cocaine possession in Houston. He told CNN he wanted to be a dictator during the recount in 2000. Why the fuk are we not arresting him on sight, now? Probable Cause exists to arrest him for multiple felonies, such as domestic terrorism on 9/11/2001, as he's currently sued under the RICO Act in US courts. Any grand jury can indict him, any judge can issue an arrest warrant, any cop can make a warrantless arrest, or any person can make a citizen's arrest, it doesn't matter, JUST ARREST HIM NOW! Put him in jail, OR THE LOONY BIN, JUST DO IT NOW!

Posted by Pirate News TV at March 26, 2006 06:06 PM

Personally, I'm not too worried about this because it has been the case from day one. I don't think Bush has any real power; he is just a tool, a modern-day "Manchurian Candidate". He is trotted out at appropriate moments uder strict supervision, likely wearing a receiver through which he can be coached by his handlers (maybe they've put in a subdermal bone-phone by now so no embarrassing bulges appear on his suit). He made some horrible flubs after 9/11 and they stopped trusting him to speak in public without supervision. Of course, I could be wrong, he could be incredibly cleaver and just be playing the fool... just keep him on the anti-depressents, and for the love of God, don't start injecting him with amphetamines...

Posted by uninvitedguest at March 26, 2006 09:02 PM

few know that he is also an addict. when he stole the gubernatorial election here in texas, the first thing the elite did was to change his drivers' license number to 00000001, so no one could look up his conviction record and learn that he was arrested, convicted and given a very short probationary period for possession & use of cocaine. his dad was head of the cia at the time.

HAS IT EVER BEEN TOLD WHAT THE BULGE UNDER GWB'S JACKET WAS DURING HIS DEBATE ? I CANNOT BELIEVE
WITH ALL THE INTEREST IN IT THAT I HAVE NEVER REALLY HEARD IT EXPLAINED TO MY SATISFACTION.

Commentors here are correct. The White House resident is a patsy, a talking head controlled by his handlers without a clue what it means to govern a barbecue fundraiser, not to speak of a government.

However, this does not mean that his unstable mental condition does not present danger--it does. He thinks he is president, therefore he must be kept busy rattling off nonsense to rubes at handpicked "town hall" meetings, far away from the real exercise of power. For that, see Dick.

Perhaps your usual sources not speaking out anymore has something to do with the demands by federal agents a few weeks ago for information regarding traffic on this website that Doug Thompson wrote about one day then we never heard about it again.

In his article Thompson stated:
"As part of the investigation, the Justice Department, Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency are wiretapping reporters' phones, following journalists on a daily basis, searching their homes and offices under a USA Patriot Act provision that allows "secret and undisclosed searches" and pouring over financial and travel records of hundreds of Washington-based reporters."

He also stated, "Just how widespread, and uncontrolled, this latest government assault has become hit close to home last week when one of the FBI's National Security Letters arrived at the company that hosts the servers for this web site, Capitol Hill Blue.

The letter demanded traffic data, payment records and other information about the web site along with information on me, the publisher.

Now that's a problem. I own the company that hosts Capitol Hill Blue. So, in effect, the feds want me to turn over information on myself and not tell myself that I'm doing it. You'd think they'd know better.

I turned the letter over to my lawyer and told him to send the following message to the feds:
Fuck you. Strong letter to follow."

If I was a source, hearing shit like that and knowing that Big Brother is listening, would put a chill on me too. Absolutely nothing is "off the record anymore"
in Oceania...

With the impending passage of the "wide open borders" and American worker replacement immigration bill his popularity should take another nosedive. Is he being controlled by Cheney and Rove, or are there other, more shadowy figures behind the scenes?

saddest part is .... he does not know he is the most hated human being on the planet... people DO indeed hate Bush more than Osama.... you just cannot help it... it's called arrogance.

In the movie "The Madness of King George", we saw that the king, who turned out to have porphyria, had blue urine. Anybody checked this one out? Has W been seen with a blue stain on his trousers? As I remember the movie King George was not very rational and almost got removed by the Parliament.

"Could the font on these comments be any smaller?". Scaramouche, all web browsers provide text increases. Check the View pull-down menu. Then these wonderful comments can be appreciated. All this hand-wringing feels like a waste since the whusey opposing Party cannot get their act together. I have so much hatred for Bush I spread it out over Chemical Companies still spilling mercury into our oceans, and Gale Norton, the retiring American Resource Pillager. Aahh..nothing like hatred generated anger to empower desent!

These reports are plants by Cheney who has decided it is time to take the reins himself -- the puppet has become dispensable.

The personality deficits and character are classic, and tie directly to the motivational style (learned) of powerlessness. The need for power - as opposed to needs for affiliation and/or achievement - is what drives the man, no matter he is in the inarguable position of ultimate political and national power. More, the observed behavioral and attitudinal variables can be directly equated with those of a fairly typical human who is either in the midst of active alcoholism or fairly new in his/her recovery process. Denial of himself as the center of the problems he is experiencing is the norm for this personality disorder. The experience of personal failure in both decision-making and actions in someone with a fairly mature, experientially based personality would demonstrate positive learning from those experiences so they are not repeated. In the case of George W. Bush, it is clear that he does not comprehend maturely that failed experiences ought best lead to retrospection and changed attitudes and actions on his part. He came to the Presidency with an intact and fundamental motivation of powerlessness (someone who feels powerless even when in an otherwise powerful situation and role), and his actions while in office continue to demonstrate this sort of personality. Error upon error, failure upon failure, and an almost reverent belief that what he is doing and how he is doing it are correct because? Well, because they are correct, and this equals compounding failures never mind who experiences the consequences and how dire those consequences for others actually are or turn out to be.

When he was first running for the presidency, a woman conducting research for a popular magazine was interviewed and the interview broadcast on NPR, as I recall. One of the descriptions of the man, provided allegedly by someone (a woman) who know Mr. Bush during his college years described him aptly: "a 'pity date.'"

It seems clear to me that those lingering thousands or millions of Americans who continue to support Bush in his hell-bent-for-election process of leading lemmings to the sea, must be feeling sadness bordering on pity for the man - and that is pitying.

Bush is a full-blown nut job, there's no debate, bush is about as qualified to run this country as I am to preform brain surgery! It makes me sick what Bush is allowed to get away with, I knew we were in trouble with, daddy rich-piggy bush, never in my worst nightmare did I think I would have to deal with his offspring, I'm all bush'd out!

I loathe this human with more venom than I have ever thought I could have towards another human. He has made a total mockery out of the United States and the entire world hates and fears us. That is so very dangerous for us. I have NEVER believed the 9/11 theory and until I see some proof (which it hasn't been brought out for "security" reasons) I will never believe their little story full of holes bigger than the potholes in our roads. Bush and Co. committed treason right then and there and should have been tried then. It's obvious from hearing about his past that his mother has molded most of his character flaws in him. He calls her the "pitbull" of the family. I also believe that's why Jeff Gannon was in the White House almost every day and night. Possibly another Monika Lewinsky type. This is just my humble opinion people from connecting dots here and there. He needs to walk barefoot to prison while holding Cheney's hand. There is much more to this person than we know and that may be why he is very strict on the White House staff about talking. I would say there will be many books in the future trying to figure him out. That is, if the U.S. has a future after Bush and Cheney.
