Frist: We don't need no stinkin' new spying laws

February 20, 2006 12:04 AM / Capitol Hillbillies .
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, standing firmly with the White House on the administration's eavesdropping program, said Sunday he doesn't think new or updated legislation is needed to govern domestic surveillance to foil terrorists.

"I don't think that it does need to be rewritten, but we are holding hearings in the Judiciary Committee right now," Frist said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Frist also said he didn't think a court order is needed before eavesdropping, under the program, occurs. "Does it have to be thrown over to the courts? I don't think so. I personally don't think so," he said.

Critics argue the program, run by the National Security Agency, sidesteps the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which prohibits domestic eavesdropping without a warrant from a special intelligence court.

"This NSA program _ it has to comply with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and it has to comply with the Fourth Amendment," which guarantees protection against unreasonable searches, California Rep. Jane Harman, ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said on CNN's "Late Edition."

Some lawmakers are drafting legislation to change FISA, and Sen. Pat Roberts, the Republican chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, says he has worked out an agreement with the White House to consider legislation and provide more information to Congress on the eavesdropping program.

While insisting the program is legal and setting the bar high on any possible legislative changes, White House officials recently signaled they are willing to work with Congress if it feels that further "codification" of the law is needed. A White House spokesman declined to comment further on the issue on Sunday.

White House officials are discussing a proposal by Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, that would more specifically OK warrantless domestic surveillance, but give lawmakers more oversight.

Speaking on "Fox News Sunday," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said there is bipartisan consensus on Congress to make FISA, which was written in the 1970s, more flexible, establish more congressional oversight into such surveillance and preserve judicial review, or the need for a warrant in certain cases.

"I do believe we can provide oversight in a meaningful way without compromising the program, and I am adamant that the courts have some role when it comes to warrants," Graham said. "If you're going to follow an American citizen around for an extended period of time believing they're collaborating with the enemy, at some point in time, you need to get some judicial review, because mistakes can be made."

Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., told Fox that it's in the Bush administration's interest to make sure there is a neutral party overseeing the program. "Otherwise, you're going to have a number of Americans out there who incorrectly think that (former FBI Director) J. Edgar Hoover has been brought back to life and that there could be abuses taking place."

Do you know what is considered as "Newsworthy?"

Pat Buchanan publicly stating, . . . "The killers are Muslims, profile them and nail them."

This is the same fear and ideology the Jews and the Romans had regarding Jesus Christ. The Jews feared that the Romans would "take over" if Jesus lived, . . . And the Romans followed the course of the Jewish crowd to crucify Jesus.

The American government has been in fear of losing control of oil and all it pretends to stand for, for a large number of years. The American government has repeatedly expressed the death of anyone who stands in their way of their security of agenda. Including those who have been given the supply and the function of the oil stockpile.

John McClaughlin stated, . . . "Jews are not terrorists, Christians are not mostly terrorists."

These men profile their own stupidity by believing "themselves!"

Fact: All those who do not bear honor onto LIFE are terrorists against the LIVING. And they are NOT just one make or model of mankind!

The definition for a terrorist- a person who uses violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims. (Corel Dictionary).

By the definition of a terrorist, it appears as though, . . . each person who attempts to manipulate one’s thinking and manner for the pursuit of political means, is in fact, a ‘terrorist’. So we question, . . . Who are the world’s terrorists?

Eleanor Clift stated, . . . "Most Muslims are African Americans."

Say what? What a day for dumb discussion on the John McClaughlin show!

To continue, . . .

Tony Blankley stated, . . . "You don't have to search babies and old ladies."

Our simple response to Mr. Blankley: No one has the moral or legal right to search anyone for any reason! The American government and their associates are following the hand of perjury against the American Constitution and mans' Civil Rights. This illegal infringement should be, and needs to be, immediately stopped! When a member of the state or federal government refuses to initiate some form of lining of respect for their fellow public member, they should be immediately dismissed from their department.

Mr. Blankley, the American government has willingly chosen to establish a fictitious war, primarily to overrule the rights to one’s life. Within the pages of their blatant deceit, the American government has given the American people no choice but to remove the members of government from itself. This is not a “Talk Show” Mr. Blankley, but this is real life!

John McClaughlin, you said you want to hear from religious leaders regarding the conversation of your show. We question why? Religion is man's destruction! Man's form of traditional religion is the reason to why America and its habitants are in such poor condition and disgrace. For some foolish reasoning, Americans would rather follow man's religious traditions than the word of THE TRUTH!

To ascertain, . . . in many cultures of man's religious beliefs and traditions, there is a stamp waiting to be pressed upon the enforcement of war over peace. But THE TRUTH teaches PEACE, . . . THE TRUTH guides one how to obtain PEACE. THE TRUTH assists man in maintaining PEACE.

Man has NOT been given the potentiality nor the power nor the desire to create PEACE, for themselves. PEACE is not originated in the heart or mind of man. PEACE is constituted through the knowing, believing, and the following of THE TRUTH through FAITH!

There is "NO OTHER WAY" for man to receive the blessing of PEACE until they learn what PEACE is! And so, what is PEACE? PEACE is knowing THE TRUTH and living beside it!

PEACE comes with a heavy price, . . . and Jesus Christ has already paid the price for man’s PEACE. So all of this murdering man is creating out from ignorance is in vain, for naught, and it WILL SOON bring EVERYONE to their own demise!

You see, the blessing of PEACE may have been already paid for by the blood shedding of Jesus Christ, but man’s blood will pay the price for HIS OWN WAR! Including ALL ADMINISTRATORS OF GOVERNMENT!

In Summary: The panel of folks on the John McClauglin show expressed a vile emotion of discrimination, and should be held legally accountable. People have gone too far with their ignorant opinions and unjustified cause of infringing upon other people lives with their pouring out of aggression, fear, and prejudice.

P.S. There should be a mandatory request made by the citizenry, for the people in government and politics to seek out for help through a “Stress and Anger Management” Program. (SAM Program) For such, and for so many, are “Exciting the public to hate.” Which under the Commission of Journalism, is against regulations. Those in media, should also be ashamed and reported.

You need to lose the quotes in the header. If Frist didn't say "We don't need no steenking new spy laws" you should not have it in quotation marks. Bad journalism, guys.

The FISA LAW is clear and clearly written. Therefore AS THE LAW ... HAD TO BE OBEYED by everyone including our President.

The FISA LAW in these times probably does need a re-write and update. So, let's do it

SO FAR, TALK; TALK; TALK; TALK; TALK.

I fail to see the real problem here on any front. But of course if we "discuss it to death" then Americans will tire and get bored and we will be back to Business as Usual and that's the REAL GOAL here.!

Well, it looks like Herr Rove's bullying tactics have worked again. Congress just rolled us over in the clover again...

America has too many poor followers, and not enough valuable leaders! That is America's downfall!

Has anyone questioned the reasoning to why we war with other countries? (Set apart from the fact it enhances man's economy).

To honestly think about it, . . . War kills off a generation of good people. War has the capacity to "skip a track of good people," as it then creates the remaining few to become so ill (physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally), they are more often than not, useless unto themselves and others to do any world of good.

Until thought goes into why man chooses to war, rather than getting beyond the obstacles of differences, . . . man will NEVER be given the blessing of knowing how to bring resolve and peace.

So everyone can chat away, . . . all the way to Kalamazoo, . . . but the answers will NEVER be given, until we search the soul of man's intentions, and correct what is found to be wrong!

DOES ONE ACTUALLY KNOW HOW DECEITFUL AND CRUEL A FORM OF GOVERNMENT CAN BE?

Governments do everything for 'experimental purposes', correct? So let's try this one on for size, . . .

Hang onto your hats’ folks, it is getting windy out there, . . .

Let's just imagine, . . . Based on the fact that governments acknowledge that there will always be casualties in the event of a war, that they will go as far as using an elderly victim of a hunting incident for the sole purpose of testing an opponent’s reaction?

Question: Who represents themselves being the leading opponent to the body of any form of government?
Answer: The people.

Question: In the war between the people and its government, how are each squads reacting toward each other?
Answer: As one stands in force, the other stands in defense.

Question: Which one of the two is standing in the position of force, as the other remains in the position of defense?
Answer: The one who finds it necessary, to experiment with life and death, is always found in the line of defense.

Analysis to conclusion: The one in force is with a clear focus, as the one in defense is with rambling confusion.
